Ashley is a Scottish writer based in the Netherlands whose stories and worlds are inspired the landscapes and legends of her beloved Scotland.

From the shadowed forests of ancient Caledonia, to the storm-lashed shores of the Western Isles, her books span historical fantasy, romantasy and speculative fiction, blending the mystical and the historical to ask questions about the world we live in today.

Her narrative non-fiction work was published in Unexpected Gifts in 2025, and her first novel, Born Blessed and Bound, a historical fantasy romance rich in Scottish folklore was selected as a finalist of the BPA 2025 Pitch Prize and longlisted for the 2025 Page Turner Writing Award.

She is currently un-agented and seeking representation.
